• Open Inspiration and prepare to create your first diagram.
• If Inspiration is already open, click on File | New to open the default diagram.

Along the top is the Diagram Tool Bar; the Symbol Palette (click View | Symbol Palette) is on the left with over 1300 symbols, including animated symbols and photographic images.

You can also draw your own symbols using the Draw Tool Bar across the bottom of the window; and you can re-size your diagram on the screen with the Zoom buttons in the left corner of the bottom scroll bar.
